My approach to counseling is first and foremost one of non-judgment, compassion, and warmth. Initially trained as a marriage and family therapist, I have worked children, teens, families, couples and individual adults since 2009.
My passion is to empower women. I am a fierce advocate of women creating the lives they desire. However, there are times where you may find it seems too difficult to build that life on your own. That's where I come in. I provide solution-focused counseling for women in a relaxed environment and can help you if you are struggling with depression or anxiety (including during pregnancy and/or postpartum), relationships difficulties, claiming your own identity in the context of gender stereotypes, feeling inadequate, parenting young children or teens, dealing with substance use problems or addiction, and healing from the effects of sexual, physical, and/or psychological trauma.
In order to provide effective counseling, I utilize a blend of methods from Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as is appropriate for each unique individual with which I work.
I am committed to honoring your unique history, culture, and present concerns and am also a LGBTQ-affirming counselor.
I offer a free 15-minute, no-obligation phone consultation to see if we might be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
